The Westbeach HWY 99 Jacket is named for the road that takes expectant snow sports enthusiasts from the bustling metropolis of Vancouver up to the potentially utopian landscape of Whistler Blackcomb and, for most, back down again. Better know as the Sea to Sky Highway it's a trail where the traveller can be beset by any type of weather, from spring showers to massive electrical storms through blizzards and high winds, along the way. Now, the HWY 99 jacket is not going to protect you from lightening but will protect you from any other conditions you might find along it's eponymous highway, which is probably how it got its name! The HWY 99 jacket contains Westbeach's Basecamp Fabric Technology that has been critically taped and is rated at 10,000mm/10,000g to keep out the elements while the inner ribknit cuffs along with handwarmer and media pockets make being out in a storm a little more bearable. Once the storm breaks and you peek out to find the snow deep and soft and even, zip up the removable powder skirt, connect up the gaiter and remember the reasons you put yourself through the storm in the first place!
