Burton Amped Kids Snowboard Jacket - True Black - 2012
Now, I don't know much about kids, maybe that'll change in the future but that's a long way off (I think?!). However, it seems to me that kids are like adults but have a louder volume setting for when things aren't going their way. As an adult I have found that the things that upset me the most when I'm snowboarding are the cold and the wet permeating through to my bones leaving me wanting to scream and stamp my feet, I'm guessing kids will be the same but will actually scream and stamp their feet? Anyway, Burton has a way to circumvent all this angst and frustration, the Amped jacket. Drawing on all their experience making performance outerwear the Amped jacket comes fabricated from 2 layer coated dobby fabric [5,000mm/5,000g] and is stacked with many of the features from Burton's adult collection. One feature that does not appear in the adult collection is the Room-to-Grow system; inside the sleeves there is a line of red stitching that can be removed as the child grows giving an extra 2 inches of length to the arms, because apparently kids grow!
