K2 UFO Snowboard Boots - Black - 2012
Now, this is all a bit hush hush, and maybe complete fallacy, but this is what we heard. We heard that the K2 boffins were away in the desert finding themselves when they stumbled into Area 51 quite by accident, they don't talk about what happened there, but they have produced a new boot for 2012 called the UFO, coincidence? The UFO certainly has some revolutionary tech contained within its sleek lines, the boffins have come up with a urethane endoskeletal structure, melted down skate wheels formed into a framework upon which they build the boot, designed to take the strain of flexing the boot away from the stitching and material and place it on this skeletal framework increasing the durability of the boot and giving a more consistent flex pattern. Sound complicated? I guess it doesn't matter; the resulting boot is kick-ass and comes with Boa Conda, a power strap and Harshmellow dampening to keep you secure and comfortable all day on the hill. The UFO is for serious freeriders, and aliens.
The liners of these boots are heat mouldable to give a custom fit. The heat moulding process should be done in store using specialist heaters but if you are unable to get to a store, the liners will mould as you ride them using your body heat.
