K2 Darko Snowboard Boots - Black/White Plaid - 2012
The K2 Darko is a snowboard boot that wants to go its own way, the recalcitrant black sheep of K2's boot line, the Darko is for snowboarders who know what they want and refuse to compromise. With the Darko K2 have taken their team's favourite boot and added a new outsole with Harshmellow dampening and an asymmetrical cuff liner, they wanted to take away the fat laces too but that was too much for the Darko and a line was drawn in the sand. The Darko does feature the Boa Conda system in the liner though, the ability to adjust the tension in the liner as you ride as well as negating heel lift for good was just too good to refuse and leaves the Darko with a marriage of the traditional and the new closure systems. An awesome boot, the Darko will bring performance and comfort to your snowboarding and attitude to the hill, taming them should only be attempted by intermediate level snowboarders upward.
The liners of these boots are heat mouldable to give a custom fit. The heat moulding process should be done in store using specialist heaters but if you are unable to get to a store, the liners will mould as you ride them using your body heat.
