Burton AK 2L LZ Down Snowboard Jacket - Afterburn - 2012
The 2012 LZ Down jacket is from Burton's AK collection, designed for and tested in the largest, least populous but, most importantly, coldest US state, Alaska. The AK range therefore is the best-in-class, most technically advanced outerwear in Burton's range. The main difference in the AK line for 2012 is the fit, which has evolved to give you the most performance orientated articulated fit, designed to mimic the body's natural movements while riding and hiking. The LZ Down jacket is insulated with goose down, one of the worlds best insulating materials, and is therefore for people who really struggle with the cold, or those that are headed for extremely cold locations. This is the jacket you want to be wearing when the lift breaks down in the middle of a white out on a Canadian January morning, it's that warm. One of the main issues with Down jackets in the past has been their bulkiness but Burton have tailored the fit of this jacket so perfectly that, in this jacket, it is no longer noticeable, you'll have a full range of movement whether hiking up the hill or ripping down it!
