Burton Ion Snowboard Boots - Black/Green - 2012
The Burton Ion snowboard boot has so much tech in it you'll be surprised to learn that there is still room for your feet! This year the Ion comes with some new features to help keep you on the slopes for longer by keeping you dry and comfortable from first chair until ski patrol chase you off the hill. These new features include new Dryride Moisture Wicking Tech that removes any excess moisture in the boot through a special valve which keeps outside moisture out too, clever, especially alongside the new snow-proof internal gusset on the tongue. Burton have also introduced Total Comfort Construction in the Ion this year, the idea being that the boot is ready to ride straight out of the box without a breaking in period, allied to this there is AutoCANT Cardinal Cushioning in the midsole which uses the pressure from your feet to automatically mould into the most comfortable position. I wouldn't be surprised if NASA issued these boots to their astronauts for their next mission, they have that much tech!
The liners of these boots are heat mouldable to give a custom fit. The heat moulding process should be done in store using specialist heaters but if you are unable to get to a store, the liners will mould as you ride them using your body heat.
