It achieves its goals by featuring some of Burton’s latest technology married to some of their tried and tested treats, the heat mouldable liners feature new lock-up cuffs to keep your feet securely in position while the Plush Cuff 1.0, a combination of neoprene and fur, hugs your calf comfortably and the Velcro closure lets you get exactly the fit you want. The liners also have Hot Pockets on the toe area into which you can slip Little Hotties disposable toe warmers when the mercury is barely visible making your boots toasty in any conditions, Burton have even included your first pair of toe warmers with the boots, which is nice! The Emerald shows its performance credentials with a Power Spine backstay, medium flex moulded 3D tongue and Speed Zone lacing system delivering your energies to the board while the Total Comfort construction and lightweight sole unit replete with airbag adds another level of comfort and support right out of the box. The Emerald is a mid flexing boot and is for girls who are happy riding anywhere on the mountain and want to look and feel good when they’re there.

The liners of these boots are heat mouldable to give a custom fit. The heat moulding process should be done in store using specialist heaters but if you are unable to get to a store, the liners will mould as you ride them using your body heat.
